  19. mood today.. how Totally Rad.. yeah everyone says us robotics wont 
  20. fix bugs bla bla... but.. at least there trying to some extent...

  23. I keep saying this over and over.. when theres bugs in usr modems we get
  24. them to fix it.. when theres a minor flaw in the pentiums, even if were
  25. never gunna actually see it happen playing mech warrior or whatever, we
  26. scream and intel fixes it..
  27. but what about rockwell?? we scream and bitch and they still make RPI
  28. modems... they still have v.42 bugs in thier 14.4k datapumps, they still
  29. have bugs from what i hear in the v.34 chips [3429 rate] that every
  30. modem manufacturer who makes modems based on the rockwell design has 
  31. to put a workaround in the code.. I mean look at all those people who
  32. bought v.fc modems? they all had to spend somewhere between 0-100 dollars
  33. to buy a whole new modem.. not to mention not having a modem to use for
  34. up to 2 weeks at a time. the fact is that usr and some at&t based modems
  35. are the only modems not designed on buggy/flawed rockwell chips in the price
  36. range. they deserve more credit then that

  38. you cant turn your head without noticing that everytime you look behind you
  39. rockwell is skimping modems down and more.. first they take out the error
  40. correction, and now some companies are making modems that have no controller
  41. whatsoever.. forcing the computer to do everything.. earlier i had 10 or 
  42. so windows running with cpu usage 100%.. with ftp, news, and all that stuff..
  43. i dont think i have any room left to handle the error correction or the 
  44. data pump in software after all that.. what can they possibly do next to
  45. lower the overal quality on modems? HMMMM????
